Character Overview
Pros
- High personal damage.
- Forgiving Skill duration that allows for gameplay adjustments without losing damage uptime.
- Strong vertical investment options through her Constellations and signature weapon.
- Elegant and satisfying combos.
Cons
- Lacks synergistic 4-star sustain options, and is reliant on C6 4-star teammates for maximized personal damage.
- Long 18s Skill cooldown, with a special Skill state that expires if she swaps off-field.
- Requires enemies that have or are capable of gaining Hydro aura for her kit to function.
- Some people may dislike the “neigh” sound effect her special Skill makes.
Playstyles
Zibai is an on-field damage dealer who uses her Skill to enter a special state, converting her Normal and Charged Attacks to Geo and the ability to deal direct Lunar-Crystallize damage.
Talents
Level and Talent Priority
Skill > Character Level = Burst
Zibai does not need Normal Attack Talent levels. All of her Geo Normal Attack scaling is in her Skill Talent. While Level 90 is highly recommended to maximize Zibai’s DEF and Lunar-Crystallize reaction damage, her Skill Talent level takes priority.
Talent Overview
Normal Attack | Golden Blade’s Petaled Touch
Talent Description
Normal Attack
Performs up to 4 rapid strikes.
Charged Attack
Consumes a certain amount of Stamina to unleash 2 rapid sword strikes.
Plunging Attack
Plunges from mid-air to strike the ground below, damaging opponents along the path and dealing AoE DMG upon impact.
Zibai’s physical Normal Attacks are not used as part of her gameplay or damage scaling. The animations are retained, however, when she switches into Lunar Phase Shift mode.
Elemental Skill | Heaven and Earth Made Manifest
Talent Description
Summoning a shadow of her former powers, she switches to the Lunar Phase Shift mode.
In this mode, Zibai’s Normal Attacks and Charged Attacks will deal Geo DMG that cannot be overridden by other infusions, and she can accrue special Phase Shift Radiance through different methods. Zibai can consume Phase Shift Radiance to unleash the special Elemental Skill Spirit Steed’s Stride.
Zibai’s Skill switches her into Lunar Phase Shift mode, converting her Normal and Charged Attacks into Geo damage that cannot be overridden. While in Lunar Phase Shift mode, her Skill is converted into a special combat ability with 4 charges at C0. Her N4 and special Skill each have two hits, the first dealing regular Geo DMG and the second dealing direct Lunar-Crystallize Reaction DMG.
This special Skill can only be used once she gains enough Phase Shift Radiance. Using all 4 charges is extremely important, as the Lunar-Crystallize hits of her special Skill represent roughly half of her total damage output at C0. As for her Normal Attack sequence, the majority of its damage comes from the Lunar-Crystallize hit of her N4, encouraging its completion.
Lunar Phase Shift mode lasts for 15s, until all 4 Skill charges are consumed, or until she swaps off-field. As Zibai’s default combo takes around 11s to complete, she has some flexibility to dash or move around without losing uptime, or to extend her rotation with additional Normal Attacks before she uses her final Skill charge.
Notes: While in Lunar Phase Shift Mode, Zibai has a 2/3 chance of generating 1 particle (2s ICD) every time she hits an enemy. In addition, she has 0.5 interruption resistance, similar to that of Flins and Hu Tao. This allows her to withstand lighter attacks without being staggered.
Elemental Burst | Tri-Sphere Eminence
Talent Description
Zibai operates the Jadelight Canopy, dealing two instances of Geo DMG, with the second damage instance being considered Lunar-Crystallize Reaction DMG.
Like Zibai’s special Skill and N4, Zibai’s Burst also has two hits, the first dealing regular Geo DMG and the second dealing direct Lunar-Crystallize Reaction DMG. It deals enough damage to encourage its use when available, but not enough damage to encourage building ER.
When used while Zibai is in Lunar Phase Shift mode, it extends her Skill’s duration by 1.7s, preserving Skill uptime and combo flexibility.
Ascension 1 Passive | The Selenic Adeptus Descends
Talent Description
When casting the Elemental Skill Heaven and Earth Made Manifest, or when triggering Moondrift Harmony, Zibai gains the Moonfall effect for 4s: The DMG dealt by the 2nd hit of Spirit Steed’s Stride is increased by 60% of Zibai’s DEF.
This passive effectively grants extra damage to each Lunar-Crystallize hit of her special Skill equal to 60% of her DEF. This is considered Additive Base DMG Bonus as part of the Lunar-Crystallize damage formula.
Ascension 4 Passive | Layered Peaks Pierce the Clouds
Talent Description
Other Geo party members increase Zibai’s DEF by 15% each. Other Hydro party members increase her Elemental Mastery by 60 each.
This passive increases Zibai’s DEF by 15% for each Geo teammate and her EM by 60 for each Hydro teammate, incentivizing the use of only Geo and Hydro teammates without explicitly restricting the use of other elements.
Moonsign Benediction Passive | The Coursing Sun and Moon
Talent Description
When a party member triggers a Hydro Crystallize reaction, it will be converted into the Lunar-Crystallize reaction, with every 100 DEF that Zibai has increasing Lunar-Crystallize’s Base DMG by 0.7%, up to a maximum of 14%.
Additionally, when Zibai is in the party, the party’s Moonsign will increase by 1 level.
When Zibai is in the party, she increases its Moonsign level by 1 and converts the Hydro Crystallize reaction into the Lunar-Crystallize reaction. She also increases the Base DMG of Lunar-Crystallize damage dealt by the whole team based on her DEF, with a maximum of 14% Base DMG Bonus at 2000 DEF.
Constellations
Constellation 1 | Burst Forth With Vigor, But Enter in Silence
Constellation Description
After using the Elemental Skill Heaven and Earth Made Manifest, Zibai will immediately gain 100 Phase Shift Radiance, and the max number of Spirit Steed’s Stride usages per Lunar Phase Shift mode is increased to 5 times.
Additionally, each time you switch to the Lunar Phase Shift mode, the first Spirit Steed’s Stride’s 2nd-hit Lunar-Crystallize Reaction DMG is increased by 220%.
This Constellation grants Zibai an extra charge of her special Skill and maxes out her Phase Shift Radiance upon activating Lunar Phase Shift Mode, allowing her to use her special Skill right away. The first usage of her special Skill also has the damage of its Lunar-Crystallize hit increased by around 60% in teams with Illuga, providing a significant increase to her frontloaded damage potential.
Constellation 2 | At Birth Are Souls Born, and in Death Leave But Husks
Constellation Description
When in the Lunar Phase Shift mode, all nearby party members’ Lunar-Crystallize Reaction DMG is increased by 30%.
Moonsign: Ascendant Gleam: Ascension Talent The Selenic Adeptus Descends is enhanced: the 2nd hit of Spirit Steed’s Stride deals additional DMG equal to 550% of Zibai’s DEF. You must first unlock the Ascension Talent “The Selenic Adeptus Descends.”
This Constellation has two effects:
- Gives 30% Lunar-Crystallize Reaction DMG Bonus while Zibai is in Lunar Phase Shift mode, increasing the damage dealt by her teammates by around 10% in teams with Columbina and Illuga.
- Increases her A1 passive from 60% to 550% of Zibai’s DEF. Combined with the first effect of this Constellation, the Lunar-Crystallize hit of her special Skill’s total damage is increased by around 40% in teams with Illuga.
Constellation 3 | Free From Constraints and Worldly Ties
Constellation Description
Increases the Level of Elemental Skill Heaven and Earth Made Manifest by 3.
Maximum upgrade level is 15.
As most of Zibai’s damage comes from her Skill, this Constellation provides a simple yet effective increase to almost all of her damage output.
Constellation 4 | The Spirit Passes, Then Form Follows
Constellation Description
While in the Lunar Phase Shift mode, Zibai’s Normal Attack sequence will not reset, and when Spirit Steed’s Stride hits opponents, Zibai will gain the “Scattermoon Splendor” effect: The next time she uses Normal Attacks, her 4th hit will deal 250% of the original Lunar-Crystallize Reaction DMG.
This Constellation has two effects:
- Prevents Zibai’s Geo Normal Attack sequence from resetting. This is a welcome quality of life as Zibai will no longer lose out on the Lunar-Crystallize hit of her N4 from dashing or using other actions.
- Significantly increases the damage dealt by the Lunar-Crystallize hit of her N4, almost doubling its damage in teams with Illuga.
Constellation 5 | Perceive the Worthless and Debate It Not
Constellation Description
Increases the Level of Tri-Sphere Eminence by 3.
Maximum upgrade level is 15.
Zibai’s Burst represents a small fraction of her total damage output, making this Constellation only a minor damage increase.
Constellation 6 | The World, A Journey in Passing
Constellation Description
While Zibai is in the Lunar Phase Shift mode, her Phase Shift Radiance gain rate is increased by 50%.
Additionally, Spirit Steed’s Stride will change such that it will consume all Phase Shift Radiance. This will elevate the DMG dealt by this instance of Spirit Steed’s Stride and the Lunar-Crystallize Reaction DMG dealt by Zibai within the next 3s by 1.6% for every point consumed above 70. This effect cannot stack.
This is her best Constellation by far, and has two effects:
- Increases the gain rate of Phase Shift Radiance, which supplies the excess needed for the second effect.
- Consumes all Phase Shift Radiance when she uses her special Skill, and grants elevation based on the amount of excess points consumed. This effectively gives 48% Elevation with practically full uptime.
C1 vs R1
If investing vertically into Zibai during her banner, it is recommended to go for her early Constellations before her signature weapon until you acquire C6 Illuga. If Illuga Constellations are not a consideration and there is nothing better than Flute of Ezpitzal (or Harbinger of Dawn w/ Linnea) available to Zibai, her signature weapon is of greater value than any Constellation besides C6.

| C0 (Default) | Short Combo: E 4[N4E]; if Q is available, replace any N4 with N1 Q. Full Combo: E 4[N4E]; if Q is available, N1 Q after any E. |
| C1 | EE 4[N4E]; if Q is available, replace any N4 with N1 Q. At C1+, the extra Skill charge adds animation time to her combo, making it almost always optimal to replace an N4 with N1 Q to shorten the rotation. |
| Shortened Field Time Combos | With sufficient Hydro application, Zibai can expend her special Skill charges in quick succession without completing her NA sequence. This shortens her field time, resulting in a DPS increase over her default combo within that shortened time frame. Shortened field time combos can be useful in content with limited damage windows or as a finishing rotation to end combat. However, if the next rotation starts immediately, it will often amount to an overall DPS loss. |
Mechanics
Columbina’s release introduced a third Lunar reaction, Lunar-Crystallize. Currently, only Zibai or Columbina can enable this reaction.
Direct Lunar-Crystallize
Zibai deals direct Lunar-Crystallize damage as part of her kit, which scales off of her DEF, EM, and Lunar DMG Bonus. Any extra damage, such as Illuga’s Nightingale’s Song buffs, is added onto the output of the direct damage formula, and does not scale with Zibai’s EM or Lunar DMG Bonus stats. Total damage is then multiplied by CRIT and Elevation and is reduced by enemy Geo RES.
Reaction Lunar-Crystallize
When Geo reacts with Hydro, three Moondrifts appear as the initial Lunar-Crystallize reaction. These Moondrifts are considered Geo constructs. While the Moondrifts are active and in range of a target, each Moondrift will deal one instance of Lunar-Crystallize DMG after Lunar-Crystallize has been triggered three times.
As in the Lunar-Charged reaction, all characters who contribute Geo or Hydro to any of the three Lunar-Crystallize reactions will have their individual damage contributions calculated, ranked from highest to lowest, and combined for the final damage output. Lunar-Crystallize reaction damage scales similarly to direct Lunar-Crystallize damage, except that the reaction damage scales with character level and not their respective base stats such as DEF (for Zibai), or HP (for Columbina).
The Importance of Ascendant Gleam
It is highly recommended that Zibai is only played in Ascendant Gleam teams, as:
- It enables her N4 to deal Lunar-Crystallize damage.
- It allows her to gain 35 Phase Shift Radiance between each special Skill use. If this effect cannot be triggered, the use of her special Skill will be severely delayed, resulting in a significant DPS loss due to rotation time extension.
- It is the requirement for her C2 to increase the value of her A1 passive.
Artifacts
ER Requirements
| Triple Geo | Double Geo | |
| Burst When Available | 100% | 100% |
| Burst Every Rotation | 105–140% w/ 1 Fav proc | 130-145% w/ 1 Fav proc |
In triple Geo teams with Linnea, Zibai’s ER requirements can become low enough (105–125%) to make building ER to Burst every rotation worthwhile. In other teams, where her ER requirements are 130%+, it is better to prioritize other offensive stats. Regardless, Zibai should use her Burst when available at any point of her field time, instead of at a fixed point rotationally, as this allows her to use her Burst more often overall.
Use the Energy Recharge Calculator to determine exact requirements for your team and rotation. For more details on how Favonius weapons will affect your team, please use Ac1d’s Favonius Mastersheet.
Artifact Stats
![]() Sands | ![]() Goblet | ![]() Circlet |
| DEF% | DEF% | CRIT |
Stat Priority: CRIT > DEF% > EM > ER
For Zibai’s Goblet, DEF% is strongly recommended over Geo DMG% or EM, as most of Zibai’s damage scales with her DEF.
For her Circlet, whether CRIT DMG or CRIT Rate Circlet is better depends on which provides the best CRIT ratio. If Zibai has a CRIT DMG weapon or C6 Gorou in the party, CRIT Rate tends to be better.
Artifact Sets
![]() 4pc Night of the Sky’s Unveiling (“NSU”) | By far Zibai’s best artifact set, providing her with 80 EM and 30% CRIT Rate, as all her functional teams will be in Ascendant Gleam. This set also provides a teamwide 10% increase to Lunar Reaction DMG. |
![]() 4pc Husk of Opulent Dreams (“Husk”) / 2pc Husk + 2 EM | 4pc Husk, or any combination of 2pc Husk and 2pc EM, is significantly worse than 4pc NSU. It is only recommended to use as a placeholder until you acquire a 4pc NSU set with proper main stats. |
Weapons
![]() Lightbearing Moonshard | Zibai’s signature weapon, and a significant damage increase compared to her 4-star weapon options. It provides CRIT DMG, DEF%, and Lunar-Crystallize DMG Bonus. |
![]() Uraku Misugiri | Her second-best weapon, providing CRIT DMG and DEF%. Zibai also gets some value out of the DMG% increase to Normal Attack and Skill damage. |
![]() Harbinger of Dawn | Her best non-5-star weapon, provided its passive CRIT Rate buff remains active. Its low Base ATK does not matter since Zibai scales with DEF. Not recommended to wield without a shielder, unless you are confident that Zibai’s HP will not drop below 90%. |
![]() Peak Patrol Song | A strong stat stick due to the large amount of DEF% it offers. The teamwide buff to Elemental DMG Bonus is a minor benefit. |
![]() Light of Foliar Incision | A strong stat stick due to the CRIT DMG and CRIT Rate it offers. Zibai can also make use of the passive through her regular Geo hits. |
![]() Splendor of Tranquil Waters | A decent stat stick due to the CRIT DMG it offers, but it provides nothing else beneficial for Zibai, as she cannot trigger its passive on her own, and even if she could, her Lunar-Crystallize Skill damage does not scale with DMG% buffs. |
![]() Flute of Ezpitzal | Zibai’s best 4-star weapon, and easily accessible as a craftable weapon. |
![]() Cinnabar Spindle | As only a small portion of Zibai’s Skill damage is affected by Common DMG Bonus, Cinnabar Spindle provides less value than Flute of Ezpitzal. |

Teambuilding
- At least one Moonsign teammate is needed to activate Ascendant Gleam, as this unlocks key effects in Zibai’s kit.
- At least one Geo teammate is needed to activate Geo Resonance, a core source of Geo RES Shred.
- At least one Hydro teammate is needed to establish Hydro aura on the enemy, allowing Geo party members to trigger the Lunar-Crystallize reaction.
- Zibai does not need a battery as her Burst is non-essential to execute her core rotation.
Notable Geo Teammates
Zibai’s notable Geo teammates provide valuable buffs or debuffs, defensive utility, or their own off-field damage. In addition, for every Geo teammate Zibai has, she gains 15% DEF.
![]() Illuga | Illuga is Zibai’s dedicated 4-star teammate and a premier support for teams that deal a lot of Geo damage. At C0, he provides Additive Base DMG Bonus (similar to Shenhe’s Icy Quill) based on his EM to the active party member’s Geo and direct Lunar-Crystallize damage. He also provides EM and a CRIT Rate and CRIT DMG Bonus on Geo damage hits; these effects are further increased at C6. C2 is another core Constellation, as it enables Illuga to deal off-field damage to refresh the 4pc effect of SMS. This is especially important in teams with Columbina, as it allows her to use 4pc Aubade of the Morningstar and Moon (“AMM”) for more damage. Weapon(s): Dragon’s Bane, Favonius Lance Artifact Set(s): 4pc Silken Moon’s Serenade (“SMS”) (if C2+), 2pc EM + 2pc EM, 4pc Instructor ER requirements: 150% (C1+), 185% (C0) In Stygian Onslaught, it is sometimes optimal to have Illuga’s Burst available for the opening rotation. This is recommended if using teammates who normally wield a Favonius weapon and can reliably battery him, such as Gorou, Zhongli, and Xilonen. For C1 Illuga, his ER requirements, along with example setup rotations, are as follows: ER requirement w/ Linnea: 190-210%; Setup Rotation: Linnea E > Columbina E N1 > Illuga E N3 Q ER requirement w/ Gorou: 180%; Setup Rotation: Columbina ED > Gorou N2 E > Illuga E N3 Q ER requirement w/Zhongli: 200%; Setup Rotation: Columbina ED > Zhongli hED N2 > Illuga E N3 Q ER requirement w/ Xilonen: 160%; Setup Rotation: Columbina ED > Xilonen E N2 > Illuga E N3 Q |
![]() Linnea | Linnea is a “jack of all trades” who provides a little bit of everything, especially for Lunar-Crystallize teams. Her respectable damage output, enemy Geo RES Shred, EM and Lunar-Crystallize Base DMG% buff to Zibai and healing make her a standout addition to Zibai teams. Her gameplay features two distinct modes: a single tap Skill use that summons her companion, Lumi, to deal sustained direct Lunar-Crystallize and regular Geo damage over time (Super Mode); and a repeated tap Skill use that empowers Lumi to concentrate most of its damage output into a single hit (Ultimate Mode). This flexibility complements and adds to Zibai’s ability to adjust her gameplay depending on the combat situation. In addition, the six Geo particles she generates per rotation (3 every 9s) lowers Zibai’s ER requirements enough to make it worthwhile for Zibai to use her Burst every rotation when also paired with Illuga. While Linnea’s Burst provides healing and does no damage itself, using her Burst also refreshes Lumi’s active duration for the mode she was in. This is particularly useful for rotations with Super Mode when healing is needed as it only marginally extends her field time. Weapon(s): Golden Frostbound Oath, Elegy for the End, any high CRIT Bow Artifact Set(s): 4pc Husk, 4pc AMM (C0 only), 4pc SMS (if no other user available) ER requirements (Burst every rotation): 150-170% ER requirements (Burst every other rotation): 100% |

Notable Hydro Teammates
Zibai’s notable Hydro teammates provide off-field Hydro application for long enough to cover her field time. In addition, for every Hydro teammate Zibai has, she gains 60 EM.
![]() Columbina | Columbina is a powerful off-field damage dealer in Zibai teams, dealing direct Lunar-Crystallize damage through her Skill’s Gravity Interference mechanic. Through her Burst, she provides Lunar DMG Bonus to all nearby party members and enhances the effects of Lunar Reactions triggered while it is active. She is also one of the few synergetic teammate options who can provide sustain, either through healing from Prototype Amber or shielding from her C1. Weapon(s): Nocturne’s Curtain Call, Sacrificial Jade, Prototype Amber Artifact Set(s): Aubade of the Morning Star and Moon, Silken Moon’s Serenade (if no other user available) ER requirements (Solo hydro, Burst every other rotation): 100% (R1 Nocturne’s Curtain Call, Prototype Amber), 135% (Any non-ER weapon) ER requirements (Solo Hydro, Burst every rotation): 220% (R1 Nocturne’s Curtain Call), 200% (R5 Prototype Amber), 275% (Any non-ER weapon) |
![]() Aino Recommended Setup: Favonius Greatsword, 4pc Silken Moon’s Serenade or 4pc Instructor | ![]() Yelan Recommended Setup: Favonius Warbow, 4pc Silken Moon’s Serenade | ![]() Xingqiu Recommended Setup: Favonius Sword or Sacrificial Sword, 4pc Silken Moon’s Serenade | ![]() Furina Recommended Setup: Personal damage weapon, 4pc Silken Moon’s Serenade |
Sustain Options
Sustain options other than those mentioned above are significantly limited. Other than Ineffa or potentially C6 Jahoda, the use of a sustain option either listed below or not listed can be a bigger damage loss than Zibai never completing her Normal Attack sequence. This means you are better off dashing to dodge at any time between her special Skill uses than replacing any of the above listed units with a non-synergetic sustain.
![]() Ineffa | Since Electro aura can co-exist with Hydro aura, Zibai is still able to trigger Lunar-Crystallize reactions despite Ineffa’s Electro application. This allows Zibai to consistently gain Phase Shift Radiance. Weapon(s): Fractured Halo, Deathmatch, Ballad of the Fjords, Prospector’s Shovel Artifact Set(s): 4pc Aubade of the Morning Star and Moon, 4pc Gilded Dreams ER requirements (Burst when available): 100% ER requirements (Burst every rotation): 200% |
![]() Jahoda Recommended Setup: Favonius Warbow, 4pc Silken Moon’s Serenade or 4pc Instructor | ![]() Dahlia Recommended Setup: Favonius Sword, 2 HP% + 2 HP% | ![]() Lan Yan Recommended Setup: Favonius Codex, 4pc Instructor | ![]() Mika Recommended Setup: Favonius Lance, 4pc Instructor |
Team Archetypes
Triple Geo

Triple Geo teams focus on maximizing the buffs provided to Zibai and teammates who deal Geo damage.
Example Teams
This is not a comprehensive list of teams. The inclusion or exclusion of any given team does not necessarily reflect its power level.

Zibai’s “premium” team. The combined damage output and buffing contributions of Illuga, Linnea and Columbina make it worthwhile to forgo Ascendant Gleam’s Team Bonus. Choice of damage mode for Linnea is ultimately up to personal preference. Super Mode takes less field time, while Ultimate Mode benefits from buffs that only apply to the active character. What matters most is adjusting Zibai’s combo based on Linnea’s and Columbina’s field times to properly fill out the time between Zibai’s Skill CD without overextending the rotation. On a small note, when using Linnea’s single E, putting an N1 before E helps prevent accidentally using Q or feeding Lumi due to the swap cooldown.
Sample Rotation (Hybrid Mode Linnea)
Super Rot: Linnea (N1) E > Columbina EQ > Illuga Q E > Zibai combo
Ultimate Rot: Linnea 5[E] > Columbina E > Illuga Q E > Zibai Combo
Sample Rotation (Super Mode Linnea)
Long Rot: Columbina EQ > Linnea (N1) E > Illuga Q E > Zibai combo (full)1
Short Rot: Columbina E > Linnea (N1) E or Q > Illuga Q E > Zibai combo (short)
1A longer Zibai combo is beneficial when Columbina does not have her Burst ready for the next rotation. If Columbina does have enough ER to Burst every rotation, then the shorter combo can be used.
Sample Rotation (Ultimate Mode Linnea)
Columbina E (Q)1 > Illuga EQ > Linnea 5[E] > Zibai combo
1Use if available.

C6 Gorou can outperform pre-C6 Illuga, as unlike Illuga in this team composition, he can provide Ascendant Gleam’s Team Bonus. While C0 Xilonen mainly serves as a battery, and is on-par with C2 Illuga at best, at C2 she becomes competitive with C6 Illuga. On a small note, when using Linnea’s single E, putting an N1 before E helps prevent accidentally using Q or feeding Lumi due to the swap cooldown.
Sample Rotation (Gorou)
Columbina E (Q)1 > Linnea (N1) E > Gorou (Q) E > Zibai combo
1Use if available.
Sample Rotation (Xilonen)
Columbina E (Q)1 > Xilonen > Linnea (N1) E or 5[E] > Zibai combo
1Use if available.

These teams leverage Illuga’s support buffs while maintaining Ascendant Gleam’s Team Bonus. Team damage can either be concentrated into Zibai with Zhongli’s shield providing comfort and enabling Harbinger of Dawn, or shared with Chiori who brings respectable off-field damage.
Sample Rotation (Zhongli)
Columbina E (Q)1 > Illuga EQ > Zhongli hED N1 > Zibai combo
1Use if available.
Sample Rotation (Chiori)
Columbina E (Q)1 > Chiori 2[E] > Illuga Q E > Zibai combo
1Use if available.

These teams provide an alternative Hydro unit to Columbina. While Yelan and Xingqiu outperform pre-C6 Aino by supplying Ascendant Gleam’s Team Bonus, Aino’s C6 buffs make her pull ahead, unless Yelan has her C2. On a small note, when using Linnea’s single E, putting an N1 before E helps prevent accidentally using Q or feeding Lumi due to the swap cooldown.
Sample Rotation (Aino)
Linnea (N1) E > Aino EQ > Illuga Q E > Zibai combo
Sample Rotation (Yelan)
Linnea (N1) E > Yelan EQ N1 > Illuga Q E > Zibai combo
Sample Rotation (Xingqiu)
Linnea (N1) E > Xingqiu ED (Q N1)1 > Illuga Q E > Zibai combo
1Xingqiu can use Sacrificial Sword as an alternative to lower rotation time. If so, use his Burst every other rotation.
Double Geo

Double Geo teams trade Zibai’s personal damage for off-field damage from her teammates or pure sustain options. They tend to only have higher team damage than Triple Geo teams in situations where Zibai is C0, Illuga is pre-C2 and Linnea is not available.
Example Teams
This is not a comprehensive list of teams. The inclusion or exclusion of any given team does not necessarily reflect its power level.

Xilonen provides Geo and Hydro RES shred for Zibai and Hydro Resonance and particles provided by Furina or Aino allows Columbina to output increased personal damage.
Sample Rotation (Furina)
Xilonen¹ E N2 Q > Furina ED Q > Columbina EQ > Xilonen E N2 > Zibai combo
1Skip Xilonen here for the first rotation.
Sample Rotation (Aino)
Columbina E (Q)1 > Aino EQ > Xilonen (Q)2 E N2 > Zibai combo
1Use if available.
2Use Xilonen’s Q whenever healing is or will be needed.

These teams double up on Lunar Reactions, consistently triggering both Lunar-Crystallize and Lunar-Charged, with Xilonen and Linnea providing enemy Geo RES Shred along with other offensive support. On a small note, Ineffa’s Burst should be skipped for the first rotation, then used when available afterward.
Sample Rotation (Xilonen)
Columbina E (Q)1 > Ineffa E (Q) > Xilonen E N2 > Zibai combo
1Use if available.
Sample Rotation (Linnea)
Columbina E (Q)1 > Ineffa E (Q)2 > Linnea (N1)2 E or 5[E] > Zibai combo
1Use if available.
2N1 before E helps prevent accidentally using Q or feeding Lumi due to the swap cooldown.
Limited Roster Alternatives

One copy of Aino is given to players who have completed Act I of the Nod Krai Archon Quest. Aino is needed to activate Ascendant Gleam and provide off-field Hydro application.
Geo flex options include Gorou, Kachina, and Geo Traveler. The fourth team spot can be used for a sustain, such as the units mentioned in the general teammates section above.
Sample Rotation (Gorou – Kachina)
Kachina EQ > Aino EQ > Gorou EQ > Zibai combo
Sample Rotation (Geo Traveler – Lan Yan)
Geo Traveler EQ > Aino EQ > Lan Yan 2[E] > Zibai combo
